Urla Maritime Vocational School

Dear candidate students,

Urla Maritime Vocational School was established with the approval of YOK on March 21, 2013 in the Urla campus of the Faculty of Fisheries. Formal education is carried out with Marine Transportation and Management (Deck) Program, Underwater Technology Program and Fishery Program in our vocational school.

As of 2018, the number of student placement quota has reached 60+2 for Marine Transportation and Management Program and 50+2 for Underwater Technology Program. Unfortunately, Fisheries Program was deactivated by YÖK and student registration is closed.

Our primary goal is to educate skilled individuals for the latest demands of the industry in open sea and inland waters, who are well equipped with up-to-date knowledge, acquire maritime culture and discipline, and adhere to his country, his nation, and the principles of Atatürk. Our vocational school, which provides training in the maritime sector in accordance with scientific, technological and international standards, has the most preferred programs among the state universities.

In order to contribute to workforce and development of our country, we gradually make an effort to improve our quality of education by competing with other universities with our current infrastructure and experienced staff.

We are waiting for you in İzmir, the pearl of the Aegean, to educate young candidates who are environmentalist, innovative, people person and have loyalty to nation’s ideals.
