Urla Maritime Vocational School was established on March 21, 2013. Our school offers programs in Underwater Technology, Maritime Transportation and Management, and Fisheries. As of 2021, the Maritime Transportation and Management Program has reached a quota of 60+2 students, while the Underwater Technology Program has reached a quota of 50+2 students. Unfortunately, due to the decision of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), the Fisheries Program is not currently active. Graduates of the Underwater Technology program can obtain the qualification of a first-class diver after completing 50 hours of deep-sea diving. Graduates of the Maritime Transportation and Management (Deck) program have the right to take the "Watch Officer" competency exam after completing one year of open-sea internships according to the Ship Personnel Regulation.
Our primary goal is to educate qualified human resources who are familiar with maritime customs and traditions, dedicated to their country, nation, and Atatürk principles, innovative, responsible, competitive, and committed to excellence. With our experienced staff, we continue to work towards improving our educational quality every day to contribute to the workforce and development of our country. We welcome students who are passionate about maritime and wish you success in all stages of your life.
